When it comes to motion compensation and orthorectification for pushbroom and whiskbroom sensors Opto-Knowledge Systems Inc (OKSI) has you covered!

Pushbroom and whiskbroom images are built up over time by taking a 1-D line and scanning the environment line-by-line to construct 2D images. Unfortunately, during the image acquisition process motion of the platform (e.g., due to wind gusts and turbulence for aerial platforms) cause distortions in the imagery. To compensate for this, we combine carefully synchronized INS data, digital terrain models, and raw imagery in order to perform motion compensation, orthorectification, and georegistration for pushbroom and whiskbroom imagery.

We provide turn-key motion compensation algorithms and software for hyperspectral imaging systems and other scanning based imagers. Our software solutions can be used to post-process frames, or can be used in an online real-time setting to enable users to view data on-the-fly. Furthermore, we provide custom solutions to clients based upon their specific sensors, applications, and platforms.
